The Buchanan Family's One Horse Gap Trail Ride takes place at New Hope Hill camp near Williams Hill located 4 miles SW of Herod, IL. Camp is centrally located in the Eastern Region of the Shawnee National Forest. In an article about The One Horse Gap Trail Ride in Western Horseman, the Shawnee National Forest was chosen by Western Horseman magazine readers as one of The Top 5 Best Places to Ride!

CAMPING
New Hope Hill offers a dining and dance hall, horse and people water,full service electricity, restrooms with showers.

MEALS
 We provide three tasty meals a day. Bring your saddle bags and canteens to pack our prepared lunch for on the trail.

ENTERTAINMENT
 Entertainment consists of music, pickin' and grinnin' around the campfire and bingo with great horsey prizes!

TRAIL RIDES
Rides cloverleaf with a permanent camp. Available options include fast or slow rides for all day or half day beginning Sunday after lunch through Friday.
